Little Hands,

Big Masterpieces.

At ABCD Daycare, arts and crafts aren’t just a “cute project to take home” (though you’ll definitely get plenty of those). It’s one of the best ways children learn, by creating, experimenting, and proudly saying, “I made that!”

Creativity With a Purpose

Every craft time helps your child build important skills while having fun. As kids cut, glue, paint, color, and shape different materials, they’re strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and focus, all while using their imagination.

More Than One “Right Way”

We love process-based art, which means we don’t expect every project to look the same. Children are encouraged to explore colors, textures, and ideas in their own way. That’s how confidence grows, and creativity becomes something they own.

What Arts & Crafts Can Look Like

Depending on the season and classroom themes, children may enjoy:

  • Painting, coloring, and drawing

  • Glue-and-collage projects

  • Playdough and simple sculpting

  • Cutting practice and shape activities

  • Holiday and seasonal crafts

  • Class-made art displays and keepsakes

Confidence You Can See

There’s something special about watching a child light up when they finish a project. Arts and crafts help children express feelings, practice patience, and experience the joy of creating something from scratch, one messy, colorful, wonderful step at a time.
